Afterwards Mr Sutcliffe visited the Learning Centre to see the children taking part in various activities. He was very impressed with our facilities, and was very supportive of the scheme. Playing for Success South West - May 07 On the 18th May 2007 the Inaugural General Meeting of Playing for Success South West took place at Bristol Rovers Football Club. The individual Playing for Success Centres in the south west region are the first Centres to have formed themselves into a larger organisation, to set up a charity which will enable them to access a larger range of funding opportunities than would otherwise be available. This will mean that these PFS Centres will be able to offer an even greater range of activities to both schools and the wider community.
Open Day - Dec 06 On Friday 9th December, an Open Day was held at the Cherries Learning Centre, to coincide with the launch of our brand new web site. Visitors were welcomed with a festive glass of mulled wine and mince pies, and were able to view our wonderful facilities and resources. Many of the ‘Playing for Success’ activities were on display, along with some of the children’s work, which we are always proud to share! Jenny, Paula and Chris were on hand to answer any questions and show people around the Centre, and would like to thank the people who came for their support and positive feedback.
