Launch of The Cherries Learning Centre

The Cherries Learning Centre was launched on 11th January 2005. It was a great success and there was a 90% attendance rate.  A wide range of people attended the Launch including Emily Morrell-Cross, the Mayor of Bournemouth, Derek Twigg, The Schools Minister along with many PfS Centre Managers, Head Teachers from the local schools, parents, Radio and Newspaper representatives, club representatives and students.  Some students from The Bishop of Winchester performed a brilliant presentation to all the attendees about how they had benefited from Playing for Success.

The Launch was a great way of promoting the importance and capacity of our centre in terms of helping the local community and providing a form of alternative education for young people.
